SLDO Golf Day & Spring Soiree

SLDO’s second event was an afternoon of 9 Holes Ambrose Golf at Royal Pines on Friday 4th September. At the event funds were raised for SLDO to continue with the successful work we have been able to achieve in our first year. Attendees celebrated the start of Spring with a Fundraising Cocktail Function at the Royal Pines Golf Club function room.
At the event, we provided an update on our successful first year as a charity, raised awareness for the importance of organ donation within our local community, and announced some exciting announcements on what we are planning for the year ahead.
Our First Event
SLDO Twilight Cocktail Launch – Saturday 23 August 2014
Our first SLDO Event was held on Saturday 23 August at the amazing SkyPoint Observation Deck at Q1 in Surfers Paradise. Over 300 people joined us in launching our cause and raise life-saving funds and awareness for organ donation in Australia.
17-year-old double lung recipient Coen Ashton was the guest speaker, and had the crowd in awe of his journey and his inspiring take on life.
It was a great opportunity for SLDO President and founder Bretto to tell everyone there how much it meant to him to start this charity events on gold coast, turning a negative into a positive that can and will save lives. A great night was had by all – a special thanks to everyone who attended and helped us raise some much-needed funds to spread the SLDO message far and wide.
